Warehouse Associate

About the role

Mini Melts of America is an established leader in cryogenically frozen ice cream, growing nationally through dedication and teamwork. We are seeking a Warehouse Associate to join our united team, contributing to client satisfaction and maintaining our leadership in the ice cream industry.

Responsibilities

• Pull inventory to fill orders in onsite-built cardboard/styrofoam shipping containers.
• Stock walk-in freezers and freezer trailers with daily products.
• Handle dry ice regularly.
• Move large storage containers using an electric pallet jack and/or forklift multiple times per day.
• Perform daily inventory counts of products and weekly counts of supplies.
• Assist in loading and unloading trucks, basic shipping, and receiving.
• Complete paperwork to verify deliveries, documenting shortages or damages.
• Work in pairs to verify inventory when putting products away or pulling orders.
• Assist in different departments as needed.

Requirements

• Ability to work in -40°F temperatures for up to 15 minutes at a time.
• Ability to repeatedly lift 50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to operate an electric pallet jack and a forklift.
• Pass pre-employment background screening and drug test.
• Ability to work at least 40 hours per week, including occasional overtime.
• Basic math skills.

Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of, or ability to quickly learn, company product codes and terminology.
• Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
• Good analytical skills and ability to make sound judgments relative to inventory.
• “Can-do” attitude and experience working in a busy, fast-paced environment (preferred).
