About the Role

Join Mattress Firm and help ensure the final step of the shopping experience goes smoothly. In this warehouse role, you’ll play a vital part in helping people sleep well by managing inventory, staging deliveries, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload products from delivery trucks and vendor shipments.
  • Stage deliveries and store all products in designated locations.
  • Ensure inventory is dated and rotated per schedule.
  • Inspect products for defects and damages when receiving or shipping.
  • Obtain appropriate and authorized signatures on paperwork.
  • Assist in customer pickups, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Participate in inbound and outbound quality assurance processes.
  • Operate and maintain order pickers and warehouse equipment; may operate other specialized equipment to move and distribute freight.
  • Maintain grounds by picking up papers, trash, and cleaning the parking lot and entrance.
  • Maintain stock and merchandise area, keeping it organized and clean.
  • Mop, sweep, and wash offices, bathrooms, warehouse floors, truck docks, and aisles.
  • Remove trash daily by emptying containers, transporting materials to disposal areas, and recycling.
  • Clean and sanitize products per Company standard operating procedure.
  • Complete all required training modules and certifications prior to the due date.
  • Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed.
  • Communicate professionally with all internal and external contacts.
  • Follow all Company policies and standards on appearance, functionality, and brand representation.
  • Communicate any concerns or issues to leadership to ensure efficiency.
  • Execute company initiatives and other activities requested by the supervisor.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
  • Contribute ideas on ways to optimize or improve the team, department, and Company.

Physical Demands

  • Lift or move 100+ pounds.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, talking, hearing, and use of hands and fingers.
  • Reaching with hands and arms; occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Sight is required to ensure safety.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1+ years of general warehouse experience preferred.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship; proof of eligibility required.

Skills

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently.
  • Knowledge of general warehouse operations and Powered Industrial Trucks.

Pay

Competitive pay range of $21–$22.50 hourly. Actual pay is based on documented and verified relevant work experience. Additional bonus opportunities may be available at the Company’s discretion for eligible roles.

Schedule

11:30am–8pm, including weekends.
