About the role

Assists with the physical and logistical tasks of receiving, locating, processing, storing and issuing materials, supplies, and salvage materials. Picks materials to fill requisitions, assists with cycle count activities and/or physical inventories to count materials and completes necessary paperwork as required. Enters transactions electronically into a financial management system (FMS). Assists with pick-up and delivery of materials to various departments at multiple facilities as required. Operates equipment and vehicles used in moving and storing materials and supplies such as a forklift, overhead crane, pallet trucks, etc. and maintains ongoing certifications. Assists in the sorting and disposing of both return and salvage materials. Delivers packages and mail as needed within the organization. Works inside warehouse or outside in all types of weather conditions as work requires.

Responsibilities

  • Frequent manual lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds
  • Frequent bending, stooping, walking, climbing ladders/stairs, and getting on/off, in/out of vehicles and equipment
  • Above normal and frequent mental and visual alertness
  • Operate equipment and vehicles used in moving and storing materials and supplies such as a forklift, overhead crane, pallet trucks, etc.
  • Maintain ongoing certifications
  • Sort and dispose of both return and salvage materials
  • Deliver packages and mail as needed within the organization
  • Works inside warehouse or outside in all types of weather conditions as work requires

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent with ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Ability to learn basic PC and keyboarding skills
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license

Qualifications

  • Physical requirements for a specific position within this classification may vary and/or exceed those demands described above

Skills

  • Forklift Certification
  • Experience in a warehouse environment
  • Basic navigation skills in databases
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

40+ hours / week: M-F. Shifts vary and include standby.
