About the role

Kidwell is seeking Warehouse Assistants who embody positivity, honesty, and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills and excellent communication abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Cook with the Warehouse Supervisor, Purchasing Manager, and Kidwell field employees to ensure timely material deliveries to job sites and other departments.
  • Aid in the ongoing organization and enhancement of the company warehouse.
  • Aid in efficient inventory control, including maintaining accurate records in Spectrum for material receipt or delivery to job sites, participating in annual physical inventory cycles, and providing suggestions to the Purchasing Manager for improving efficiency.
  • Aid in shipping and receiving operations, verifying material against purchase orders (POs), inspecting for damaged goods, routing materials for delivery to job sites, coordinating with vendors for appropriate drop-off times and locations.
  • Aid in cleaning and janitorial duties within the Kidwell warehouse and office buildings.
  • Perform vehicle and building maintenance, including minor repairs and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work between 6am and 5pm.
  • Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.
  • Experience with vendor management software (e.g., Spectrum, Asset Panda) is preferred.
  • Ability to gather and analyze data to make logical and reasoned decisions.
  • Attention to detail, including checking for correct quantities, delivery addresses, and pricing.
  • Pass a criminal background check.
  • Valid Class A CDL is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Previous experience operating a pallet jack and forklift is preferred.
