Warehouse Associate

About the role

This position is responsible for shipping and receiving in the warehouse. The role will maintain safety, housekeeping, quality, customer service, and productivity specifications.

Responsibilities

• Shipping and receiving products while reviewing for damages
• Accurately verify quantity and descriptions of inventory received from packing lists and purchase orders
• Accurately label and put away inventory in an orderly manner
• Ensure all stock is properly stored
• Staging material shipments or customer pick-ups
• Utilize company-specific software and paperwork to maintain accurate inventory information
• Utilize warehouse management system (WMS) to process and follow order sequence and adjusting to sequence changes
• Utilize hand tools, mechanical equipment, and motorized equipment
• Packing materials securely for transit without damage
• Process small package and LTL shipments
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counting processes
• Research and report inventory discrepancies
• Meet deadlines with attention to detail while following quality requirements
• Maintain a clean work environment and follow housekeeping requirements
• Follow company safety policies and procedures
• Work independently and as a team
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Maintain a professional manner
• Follow directions provided by Leads, Supervisors, and Management

Requirements

• Experience in a warehouse preferred
• Experience driving a forklift and/or ability to become certified on a forklift
• Experience with a WMS system and scanning technology
• Efficient time management skills
• Ability to work overtime when required
• Attention to detail
• Able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds individually
• Ability to make repetitive movements, including but not limited to bending and squatting
• HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred
