Warehouse Associate

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or designated areas.
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes the items.
• Fills customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets, shelves, or conveys orders to the packing station or shipping department.
• Straightens work area and fronts merchandise for easy and accurate access.
• Arranges stock parts in a specific sequence for assembly lines, ensuring efficiency in production.
• Cleans-up, keeps tidy work area, and performs general housekeeping which may include dusting area and merchandise, sweeping, mopping, and removing boxes and clutter from the work area.
• Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

Required Competencies, Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer knowledge, including experience with data entry and inventory management systems (preferred).
• Ability to pass and maintain Forklift certification.
• Physical ability to lift and handle products safely.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• One year HVAC industry experience (preferred).
• General knowledge of HVAC products (preferred).

Supervisory Responsibilities

None.

Physical Demands

• Required to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, reach, twist, stretch, kneel, squat, crouch, crawl, push, pull, and move about the facility for the entirety of the shift.

Work Environment

• Location of position: San Antonio, TX.
• May be exposed to Warehouse/Shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, and oils.
• May be required to work hours other than the regular schedule.
