About the Role

Warehouse Associates perform a variety of duties including receiving and processing incoming stock, picking and filling orders, packing, and shipping. Specific roles within the warehouse include:

  • Kitting/Packing Associate: Fills customer orders by scale or hand count and packs orders for shipping. May also perform receiving, picking, and shipping duties.
  • Packing Associate: Packs customer orders for shipping via UPS, FedEx, or other freight carriers. May also assist with receiving, picking, and shipping.
  • Shipping Associate: Tenders packages through the CLS shipping station for FedEx, UPS, DHL, or other carriers. Handles LTL shipping, including pallet arrangement, wrapping, bill of lading preparation, and carrier coordination.
  • Pull/Put-Away Associate: Pulls products to fulfill orders and returns excess inventory to warehouse locations. Also responsible for put-away of incoming stock.
  • Put Wall Associate: Pulls line-item parts from put wall bins, organizes items on a cart, and delivers them to packing associates.
  • Receiving Associate: Unloads, unpacks, and uploads inbound vendor shipments into the system. Verifies product counts and reports discrepancies to buyers or quality departments.
  • Replenishment Associate: Restocks the warehouse pick module by pulling inventory from bulk storage, scanning items into totes, and sending them via conveyor.
  • Inventory Control Associate: Investigates missing inventory, verifies bin accuracy quarterly, justifies inventory adjustments, and assists with shipment discrepancy investigations.

Responsibilities

  • Fill customer orders by picking, scale counting, packing, or shipping materials.
  • Generate labels for product identification and mark materials with relevant information.
  • Prepare parcels for shipment according to specifications to prevent damage and ensure accurate identification.
  • Work efficiently to minimize waste and maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
  • Participate in training and process improvement activities.
  • Comply with all company policies, including those outlined in the Warehouse Orientation Packet.
  • Adhere to the company’s Quality Management System requirements.
  • Operate motor vehicles such as turret trucks, waves, forklifts, or packing machines (training and certification provided).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience (1–3 months related experience/training). Prior warehouse experience preferred but not required.
  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee).
  • Ability to report to the assigned office location during scheduled in-office workdays.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and write simple correspondence (e.g., safety rules, operating instructions, procedure manuals).
  • Proficiency with electronic devices such as barcode scanners for material handling.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to perform arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Attention to detail, adaptability, dependability, and ability to learn multiple tasks in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Ability to work independently and safely.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing, sitting, reading, writing, typing, and using computers, copy machines, and telephones.
  • Mobility to work in a warehouse setting, including bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and climbing.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials/objects up to 50 pounds (heavier weights with proper equipment).
  • Finger dexterity for data entry using keyboards or calculators.
  • Vision to read printed materials and computer screens; hearing and speech for in-person and telephone communication.

Working Conditions

  • Moderate noise levels in the warehouse environment.
  • Exposure to large moving equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, lift trucks, and conveyor belts.
  • Facility is equipped with air conditioning and heating.
