Warehouse Associate

About the role

Hearts for the Homeless is looking for a dependable Warehouse Associate to join our team! This is a hands-on, fast-paced warehouse position where you'll help unload donations, organize materials, create bales, and keep our warehouse running safely and efficiently.

Location: Buffalo, NY

Work Location: In person

Responsibilities

• Unload donations from trucks
• Safely move and organize pallets and materials throughout the warehouse
• Learn to operate a forklift to move bales, pallets, and other materials
• Create bales throughout the day
• Organize and maintain warehouse inventory
• Keep the warehouse clean and organized
• Work as part of a team to keep daily operations running smoothly
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Complete required electronic documentation
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Reliable and dependable
• Good attendance and punctuality
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Forklift experience is a plus, but not required—we will train!

Qualifications

• Standing and walking for extended periods
• Lifting items up to 50 pounds
• Frequent bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and handling materials
• Working in a warehouse environment that may be dusty, noisy, wet, or subject to changing conditions

Pay

$18.00 to $20.00 an hour

Schedule

Monday - Friday with Saturday availability - Day Shift
