Warehouse Associate

About the Role

Gexpro Services is seeking a Warehouse Associate to immediately join our team. This role involves assembling and preparing orders for shipment to customers in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Pack each order into a container and arrange the container onto a shelf according to truck route.
• Verify the quantity and description of materials received by checking merchandise against the packing list.
• Count and write the total quantity of merchandise being shipped on the invoice.
• Receive material coming into the building from vendors, customers, or other warehouses accurately and promptly.
• Process paperwork regarding UPS shipments, including verifying merchandise, applying correct postage, following customer shipping instructions, and insuring shipments when necessary.
• Load common carrier and company vehicles as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Previous experience performing the physical demands of a warehouse environment, including walking on hard surfaces, standing continuously, lifting up to 75 lbs unassisted, and repetitive use of hands/manual dexterity.
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills to meet customer requirements.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
