Warehouse Associate

Responsibilities

• Provide service to customers entering the warehouse
• Maintain a high level of customer focus in producing quality products and services
• Maintain a full understanding of all products by identification, weight, and size
• Perform minor building maintenance when necessary
• Receive, organize, and move incoming materials and load outgoing materials
• Allocate and move material to its correct place and ensure an orderly warehouse
• Maintain packing specifications and make suitable skids/pallets
• Participate in monthly and/or annual physical inventories
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment
• Follow all safety protocols and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements
• Use proper lifting techniques and wear appropriate personal protective equipment, safety shoes and clothing
• Attend and participate in all required company training programs
• Support company values in the areas of Safety, Customer Focus, Teamwork, Integrity and being a Company of Choice
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Building supply warehouse experience strongly preferred
• Forklift experience is required
• High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent work experience and/or training

Physical Requirements

• Frequent use of hands and arms for equipment operation, grasping and manipulation
• Occasional operation of forklift or other similar equipment for multiple hours a day
• Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying approximately 100 lbs. utilizing proper lifting procedures
• Additional physical requirements may be needed as duties are assigned

Pay

Base: $19 – $20 per hour
