Warehouse Associate

About the role

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for all warehouse duties including pulling orders, staging, replenishing inventory, labeling, building kits, receiving, assisting with customer pick-ups, working with Program Coordinators for internal program needs, and maintaining overall safety and cleanliness of the warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Ensure excellent attendance and punctuality
• Prioritize safety and quality in all tasks
• Work collaboratively in a team environment
• Prepare refrigerated and frozen orders for distribution
• Handle program purchase invoices and collaborate with internal stakeholders
• Maintain CERES inputs and cycle counts
• Provide intake support for new vendors/producers or vendors/producers for the Farm to Table Program
• Adhere to food safety regulations
• Perform daily cleaning, organization, and date labeling
• Remove spoiled product and clean coolers
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or technical education
• Prior experience in a warehouse and distribution environment
• Ability to obtain a forklift certification
• Ability to work with flexibility, efficiency, and enthusiasm, both individually and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and resolve problems
• Proficiency in using a computer, hand-held scanner, and operating all warehouse equipment safely
• Ability to use office equipment
• Demonstrated ability to plan, manage, and follow through on multiple daily tasks and projects
• Strong leadership, diplomacy, and interpersonal skills
