Warehouse Associate

About the role

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for the shipping, receiving, and storage of all parts and materials sold and inventoried by the company.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, and ship orders
• Receive stock orders
• Coordinate efforts with Warehouse management to dispose properly of scrapped parts & maintain documentation
• Participate in physical counts of parts and materials on an annual or as directed basis
• Assist in determining causes of short- or over-item situations
• Operate within all parts policies and procedures of GCC
• Operate safely and follow all safety guidelines
• Support and participate in the organization's continual improvement program, to conform to ISO 9001 requirements and understand the implications of not conforming with the Quality Management System
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (experience in lieu of education will be accepted)
• 3-5 years of warehousing and distribution experience a plus
• UPS World Ship and FEDEX manifesting experience a plus
• Wireless Warehouse environment experience a plus
• Experience working in an ISO 9001 environment a plus

Skills

• Ability to read and work with intricate part numbers and attention to detail
• Willingness to be a team player and help out in multiple areas of the warehouse
• Good physical skills on equipment and an aptitude for manual work
• Warehousing training in a distribution, manufacturing, or dealership environment
• Knowledgeable on shipping methods and procedures
• Basic PC skills a plus

Physical & Safety Requirements

• Able to sit, bend, stand, and walk 8 - 10 hours per day
• Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs
• Exposure to a production environment
• Must comply with any safety or PPE requirements
