Warehouse Associate

About the role

The Warehouse Associate supports and coordinates warehouse and distribution activities in accordance with organizational policies. This position reports to the Regional Service Manager and does not have any direct reports.

Responsibilities

• Requests quotes for cartage as needed, confirms ship dates.
• Schedules or monitors pickup, delivery, or distribution of materials.
• Provides routing information to ensure delivery times and locations are coordinated.
• Responds to customers' or shippers' questions regarding services.
• Tracks shipments while in transit and expedites orders when necessary.
• Shows the ability to coordinate production, inventory, and purchasing.
• Follows or implements warehouse safety and security activities.
• Inspects physical condition of incoming product.
• Inspects warehouse facilities, vehicles, or equipment and schedules testing, maintenance, repairs, or replacements.
• Fulfills receiving tasks, such as receiving all batteries, charging batteries as needed, monitoring batteries during charge times, repackaging all batteries, and inspecting as needed.
• Orders shipping/warehouse supplies as needed.
• Inspects vehicles according to daily, weekly, and monthly scheduled guides.
• Responsible for stocking and rotating warehouse inventory.
• Loading and unloading of Company Route Trucks and Delivery vehicles.
• Forklift/Labor support to delivery drivers and other co-workers.
• Daily clean up routines.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Ability to organize work and work independently, with limited supervision.
• Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with diverse needs, and across remote offices.
