About the role
The Community FoodBank of New Jersey is dedicated to fighting hunger and promoting healthier lifestyles. As a Warehouse Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient operations and supporting the mission.
Responsibilities
- Move in-bound and out-bound product to appropriate staging or storage areas as directed, adhering to CFBNJ safety procedures.
- Select orders accurately and promptly by locating and transporting all orders to the staging or loading areas for pick up.
- Check and verify all orders against the order pick sheet for accuracy and correctness; report any discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Assist in the off-loading of inbound product and supplies and move them to the appropriate staging and storage areas.
- Review all associated paperwork for accuracy.
- Perform daily consolidation of product when required to ensure storage space and overall area organization.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- One (1) year experience working in a warehouse and/or product distribution center operation as a general warehouse worker is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating stand-up reach trucks or other industrial equipment (such as double pallet jacks).
- Ability to perform basic math to conduct inventory counts.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in various positions for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in extreme temperatures.
- Ability to work as part of a team and achieve distribution goals of CFBNJ.
Qualifications

- Ability to lift 50 pounds and sit, stand, or walk for extended periods and be comfortable working in extreme temperatures.

Pay
The hourly rate for this position ranges from $21.00 to $28.40, influenced by factors such as the position's scope and responsibilities, work experience, training, job-related skills, internal equity, and market conditions.
Schedule
Hours are 7am - 3:30pm, Monday-Friday with select Saturdays based on business needs.
