About the role

The Community FoodBank of New Jersey is dedicated to fighting hunger and promoting healthier lifestyles. As a Warehouse Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient operations and supporting the mission.

Responsibilities

  • Move in-bound and out-bound product to appropriate staging or storage areas as directed, adhering to CFBNJ safety procedures.
  • Select orders accurately and promptly by locating and transporting all orders to the staging or loading areas for pick up.
  • Check and verify all orders against the order pick sheet for accuracy and correctness; report any discrepancies to the supervisor.
  • Assist in the off-loading of inbound product and supplies and move them to the appropriate staging and storage areas.
  • Review all associated paperwork for accuracy.
  • Perform daily consolidation of product when required to ensure storage space and overall area organization.

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
  • One (1) year experience working in a warehouse and/or product distribution center operation as a general warehouse worker is preferred.
  • Proficiency in operating stand-up reach trucks or other industrial equipment (such as double pallet jacks).
  • Ability to perform basic math to conduct inventory counts.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in various positions for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in extreme temperatures.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and achieve distribution goals of CFBNJ.

Qualifications

  • Minimum one (1) year experience working in a warehouse and/or product distribution center operation as a general warehouse worker preferred.
  • Proficient in the operation of stand-up reach truck or other industrial equipment (i.e., double pallet jack).

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and sit, stand, or walk for extended periods and be comfortable working in extreme temperatures.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and achieve distribution goals of CFBNJ.

Pay

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $21.00 to $28.40, influenced by factors such as the position's scope and responsibilities, work experience, training, job-related skills, internal equity, and market conditions.

Schedule

Hours are 7am - 3:30pm, Monday-Friday with select Saturdays based on business needs.
