Responsibilities

  • Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship).
  • Pull inventory for shipments.
  • Ensure correct material is pulled and loaded on our truck for delivery.
  • Record selected merchandise in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure correct and complete labels are attached to all orders processed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.
  • Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.
  • Operate and preventively maintain warehouse equipment.
  • Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Work in accordance with all warehouse safety regulations.
  • Load finished product onto truck.
  • Navigate equipment through a warehouse to collect customer orders.
  • Follow all applicable safety regulations and processes as associated with driving, vehicle check, material handling, and customer site specifics.
  • Interact with customers and the public in a professional and positive manner.
  • Counter sales to General Contractors.
  • Use technology to help manage the logistics process.
  • Perform other relative duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, or an equivalent combination of education/experience.
  • Must pass pre-employment background check and drug test.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of architectural door materials and hardware is a plus.
  • Experience driving trucks for delivery preferred.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to accurately do arithmetic, read orders, write instructions, and complete forms.
  • Ability to work closely and cordially with other staff associates.

Physical Demands

  • Spends more than 2/3 of time standing, kneeling/crouching/stooping, using hands, and reaching.
  • Spends approximately 1/3 of time walking and talking/hearing.
  • Frequent lifting required of items 25-50 pounds, and occasional lifting over 50 pounds.
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Work Environment

  • Conditions will include proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery and using various tools and hardware.
  • Subject to frequent heavy lifting.
  • May require driving to project sites.
  • May be exposed to variable weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures.

Pay

Hourly rate: $19–$21 USD
