Responsibilities
- Order picking, packing and shipping.
- Parts and parts systems sold and inventoried by the dealership.
- The operation of all material handling equipment and tools.
- All shipping requirements locally and to all territory locations.
- Knowledgeable on all inbound emergency order records and methods.
- Knowledgeable on all trans-shipping methods for emergency orders.
- Maintains all reports concerning parts returns to vendors.
- Maintains all reports concerning the scrapping of parts.
- Participates in physical counts of parts and materials on an annual or as-directed basis.
- Aids in determining causes of short- or over-item situations.
- May be required to operate forklifts, in which certification would be required.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma, or equivalent in education.
- Experience in warehousing in a distribution business preferred.
- Knowledgeable on warehousing theory.
- Knowledgeable on shipping methods and procedures.
- Ability to learn proprietary software.
- Occasionally lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling up to 60 pounds.
- Able to walk or stand for long periods of time.
- Sometimes exposed to outside weather conditions, fumes and loud noise.
- Excellent written and verbal communication required.
- Contributes to high employee morale.
- Maintains excellent parts, rental, supply, and sales force relations.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen.
