About the role
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for performing warehouse-related functions of handling merchandise and product incoming or outgoing, including shipping, receiving, transferring, stocking, picking, and pulling product for customers, vendors, and branch locations as required.
Responsibilities
- Performs inbound/outbound freight handling, shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment.
- Accurately pick, pack, and distribute sales orders and transfers; maintain inventory accuracy through counts and discrepancy reporting.
- Operate warehouse tools and material handling equipment safely while adhering to SOPs and PPE requirements.
- Load, unload, move, and stock materials efficiently; ensure products are secured and documented with proper bills of lading.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment; proactively identify and report hazards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 1+ year of experience in warehousing or related functions
- Strong aptitude for mathematical operations and numerical analysis
Physical Demands & Work Environment
This position requires approximately 40–43 hours per week and involves routine physical activity, including:
- Frequent lifting of 25–50 lbs. (up to 100 lbs. occasionally), and pushing/pulling loads up to 300 lbs.
- Operation of forklifts and material handling equipment for extended periods (up to 6 hours daily)
- Regular bending, climbing, squatting, kneeling, reaching, and sustained use of hands, arms, and feet
- Periods of sitting, standing, walking, and twisting throughout the shift
