About the Role

Oversee warehouse operations, performing a variety of duties in support of manufacturing facilities, including the receipt, storage, issuance, and inventory of materials, supplies, and equipment. Work to efficiently utilize warehouse space to accomplish company goals.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate distribution procedures to maximize delivery efficiency and flow of products from facility to facility.
  • Verify incoming shipments for appropriate quantity and quality according to receiving procedures.
  • Rotate and stock products by moving pallets, drums, or bags of material from storage to use locations using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual stacking, following warehouse procedures and HACCP plan.
  • Comply with production facility Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety regulations.
  • Maintain the Central Warehouse in a clean and orderly manner by completing standard housekeeping and sanitation duties.
  • Actively participate in team activities, including meetings and planning sessions.
  • Sample raw materials according to sampling procedures.
  • Apply transportation concepts, practices, and procedures to complete daily transportation needs as indicated by the department schedule or manager.
  • Load and unload trucks as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; minimum of 24 months of experience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment or related field.
  • Experience with and knowledge of modern warehousing and inventory procedures.
  • Understanding of record-keeping principles and safe work practices.
  • Ability to organize stock, issue materials, maintain accurate records, and communicate clearly and concisely.
  • Forklift certification and a current Class D Driver’s License with a clean driving record for insurability.

Working Conditions

  • Warehouse environment with no HVAC; may require walking, standing, or sitting for periodic periods throughout the day.
  • Exposure to wet and dry raw materials, finished product powders and liquids, bulk materials, and cleaning chemicals.
  • Frequent climbing, stooping, and lifting; ability to move up to 125 pounds required; move pallets weighing approximately 2,000 pounds using a pallet jack.
  • Reaching above shoulder heights or below the waist may be required to handle materials.
