Safety, 5S, and Continuous Improvement

Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently. Maintain a clean organized warehouse, shipping areas, receiving areas, and material storage areas. Follow all plant safety guidelines and standard operating procedures. Participate in kaizen events, improvement projects, or cross-functional initiatives as assigned.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming materials and verify quantities and condition against packing slips and purchase orders.
  • Accurately label, document, and put away materials in designated inventory locations.
  • Pull and stage materials and components for production according to work orders.
  • Conduct ERP system transactions for all inventory movements.
  • Perform regular cycle counts and support inventory audits to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Prepare and package finished goods for shipment to customers.
  • Cook with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and ensure timely delivery.
  • Generate shipping documentation including BOLs, packing slips, and labels.
  • Cook with inventory and material needs with production, planning, purchasing, and customer service teams.
  • Provide updates on material availability and delivery schedules.

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Minimum one (1) year of relevant experience.
  • Experience working with ERP systems, preferred.

Skills & Attributes

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong communication, organizational, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in safely operating lift trucks and other material handling equipment.
