Warehouse Associate

About the role

The Warehouse Associate I supports the receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping of products within the distribution center. This position is responsible for accurately handling inventory, maintaining productivity standards, and following all safety and quality procedures.

Essential Functions

• Pick products according to customer orders by using an RF scanner or pick tickets.
• Verify product quantities and descriptions.
• Pack and ship products safely by shrink-wrapping, strapping, and banding pallets for storage and transport.
• Load and unload products onto customer vehicles.
• Stage completed orders for outbound transportation and assist with loading products onto vehicles to ensure timely delivery.
• Absorb scraps and stage finished bales for pickup, as required by the branch.

Safety & Housekeeping

• Follow OSHA and company safety regulations.
• Use proper lifting techniques and material handling procedures.
• Maintain clean work areas.
• Carry out other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned or required.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Degree.
• 0-1 year of warehouse, fulfillment, or similar environment and experience.

Physical Demand and Work Environment

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills and reading comprehension skills.
• Frequent bending, lifting, kneeling, and reaching.
• Must be able to push, pull, and maneuver equipment.
• Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds independently and heavier items with assistance.
• Able to wear work boots, safety-toed shoes, hi-vis vest, and meet the standard of the company’s workplace safety.
• Limited travel may be required.
