Warehouse Associate

About the role

This role involves the safe, timely, and accurate processing of products and data through the warehouse. Key responsibilities include operating multiple types of material handling equipment, maintaining accurate records, and performing various tasks such as unloading containers, preparing pallets, moving product, picking orders, and performing facilities maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and timely records of material movements both written and transacted
• Unload floor-stacked containers onto pallets and stack them in the proper configuration
• Prepare pallets of product for transport including stretch-wrapping and labeling
• Move pallets of product from the staging area to the proper storage bins
• Pick and prepare customer orders according to picklist following all relevant information
• Repair, unpack, repack, and label product
• Perform assigned facilities maintenance duties and comply with facility cleaning schedule

Requirements

• Prior warehouse experience required
• Ability to operate forklift in compliance with Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OHSA)
• Forklift certification highly preferred - reach truck/high reach forklift preferred
• Able to perform Picking process efficiently
• Understand basic inventory, warehousing, and stocking procedures
• Recognize and understand numbers and alpha/numeric codes
• Work independently with some directions
• Follow written instructions and documented procedures
• Comfortable in fast-paced environment
• Perform simple math operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
• Team player who works productively with wide range of people
• Manage time effectively and adapt quickly to changing priorities
• Warehouse Employees must have the ability to frequently lift and/or move 10 to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 50 pounds

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
• The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
