Warehouse Associate

About the role

Acme Tools, a premier retailer of tools and equipment, is seeking Warehouse Associates to join our team. Full-time positions are available with flexible shift options including Day Shift (7:00am - 6:00pm), 2nd Shift (1:00pm - 10:00pm), and Weekend Shift (7:00am - 6:00pm).

Responsibilities

• Unload freight from trucks and trailers using manual and motorized equipment.
• Compare goods received and packing slips to ensure order accuracy, inspect goods for any damage, and notify supervisor of discrepancies.
• Scan or enter product into inventory control system or related computer program.
• Maintain a consistent and adequate stock of products on the sales floor and warehouse shelves in a neat and orderly condition.
• Prepare shipments for customers or other Acme Tools locations, accurately picking items from customer orders, shipping orders, or requisitions and preparing shipments and loading product onto trucks, trailers, or customer vehicles.
• Drive a company vehicle to transport items from warehouse to customer or pick-up items from various locations.
• Help in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse to ensure accessibility and safety.
• Participate in property maintenance such as snow removal and lawn care.
• Assist in maintaining a safe and secure work environment by adhering to safety standards and reporting any suspicious activity.

Requirements

• Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs., stand/walk for up to 10 hours, frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach, continuously climb and descend stairs safely.
• Willing and able to work on powered equipment (e.g. forklift).

Skills and Experience

• Preferred previous forklift experience.
• Customer service skills.

Pay

Starting at $18.00/hour with additional Shift Differential Pay of $2.00/hour for full-time shifts, and $2.00/hour for weekend shifts.

Schedule

Shifts available include Day Shift (7:00am - 6:00pm), 2nd Shift (1:00pm - 10:00pm), and Weekend Shift (7:00am - 6:00pm).
