Warehouse Associate - All shifts

Making Manufacturing Smooth: MEPPIs Switchgear Division (SWGD) is looking for a Material Handler to support our operations!

About the role

As a Material Handler, you'll handle and transport materials, operate company vehicles and equipment, stage and return materials, and support inventory operations. You'll also help with continuous improvement, safety, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Handle & Transport Materials: Load and unload materials safely and efficiently; transport materials to designated locations.
• Operate Company Vehicles & Equipment: Drive MEPPI vehicles and operate forklifts, cranes, and other equipment.
• Stage & Return Materials: Stage and return materials to the warehouse.
• Support Inventory Operations: Stock and maintain WIP areas, disperse inventory and expense items.
• Receive & Process Incoming Materials: Receive and uncrate incoming shipments, tag and move materials.
• Support Interoffice Operations: Deliver and pick up interoffice mail.
• Assist Department Leadership: Support the HVSD Supervisor as needed.
• Contribute to Continuous Improvement: Provide recommendations to improve warehouse and material handling operations.
• Promote Department Excellence: Work safely, reliably, and cooperatively to support SWGD's goals.
• Champion Safety & Compliance: Understand and follow MEPPIs quality, safety, and environmental policies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Required safety and operational training to operate material-handling equipment
• Basic computer and data entry skills
• Ability to stand, crawl, squat, kneel, twist, bend, and reach above shoulder height
• Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally
• Valid drivers license
• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions accurately

Qualifications

• Physical requirements: Standing, crawling, squatting, kneeling, twisting, bending, reaching, lifting, operating powered equipment, passing a medical examination for commercial driver fitness determination
