AHF Products is seeking a Warehouse Associate to join our resilient flooring plant in Kankakee, IL. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a growth-oriented, team-driven environment and is eager to contribute to creating lasting beauty through their work.
Responsibilities
- Follow Job Safety Analysis guidelines to ensure safe operations and perform pre-shift safety checks on forklifts or other equipment.
- Operate fork and reach trucks, spotter trucks, and TRT (with experience as a plus).
- Assemble orders, load and thread stretch-wrap machines, and move material from storage to the floor.
- Properly label pallets according to customer specifications and adjust inventory as needed.
- Remove empty pallets and stretch-wrap from racks, and verify quantity, SKU, and lot of tile through visual inspection.
- Pick bulk storage items, stretch-wrap outgoing pallets, and load trailers while adjusting loading patterns for proper weight distribution.
- Communicate safety concerns and other pertinent issues to drivers.
- Receive incoming pallets: verify quantity, SKU, and lot, transfer to appropriate storage, and manually separate mixed SKU pallets.
- Conduct cycle counts and operate the palletizer production line, including checking equipment and supplies (e.g., pallets, forklift, stretch-wrap).
- Operate dispatcher system (computer) for stock inquiries and use radio data terminals.
- Maintain a clean work area and perform basic computer tasks.
- Work any shift and overtime as required, including off-hours and weekends.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1 year of experience in a related environment or equivalent training/education.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, procedure manuals, SOPs, and standard work.
- Shift and schedule flexibility, including regular time (any shift), overtime, off-hours, and weekends.
- Commitment to following safety guidelines and wearing required PPE (e.g., safety glasses, side shields, approved safety shoes).
- Basic math skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using units of weight, volume, and distance.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions and correspondence, and communicate effectively in a team-based environment.
- Must successfully pass a background check, employment verification, and drug screening.
- Positive and verifiable work history.
Pay
$20.56 - $26.73 per hour.
