Warehouse Associate- 1st Shift

Warehouse Associate position in Smithfield, RI, working 1st shift in the metals industry. This is a full-time role with a pay range of $18-$19 per hour and monthly bonus potential up to $600.

Responsibilities

• Accurately remove and stock product, customer’s product, and various supplies according to inventory plan.
• Accurately select product to fill customer orders and package them properly.
• Load and unload trucks and verify that correct items are loaded and unloaded.
• Pick, process, and pack orders; may be required to cut orders on Kaltenbach saw.
• Complete cycle counts.
• Identify, hold, and segregate defective material.
• Complete paperwork per work instructions, when required.
• Perform general clean-up.
• Inspect forklift at the beginning of every shift; report issues to immediate supervisor or other designated personnel.
• Participate, support, and comply with all health, safety, ISO, and 6S initiatives and requirements.
• Assist in any other duties to support the operation, as requested by supervisor or team lead.
• Work directly on the warehouse floor on or around heavy machinery.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and write English (in Quebec, must read and write French).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs. for 100 feet.
• Ability to perform basic math skills.
• Previous forklift experience.
• Ability to sit for long periods and perform bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and grasping motions.
• Safety mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using handheld measuring tools.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge, such as database programs and Microsoft Office.
