Responsibilities
- maintain Company and customer inventory records and required logbooks and charts
- ensure receiving, storage, distribution of materials, items and finished products is in accordance with standard operating procedures
- load/unload shipments
- assist with cycle counting and month-end reconciliations
- assist with setup of outbound trucks for finished products following customer instructions
- ship established products in the most cost effective manner using customer’s prescribed carriers
- occasional driving of commercial box truck
- ensure delivery time frames are met consistently
- facilitate and set up inbound shipments of materials and finished products
- assist in administrative duties as directed
Requirements
- Experience with various types of forklifts is preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent, Associates Degree or higher preferred
- One to two years in a warehouse environment performing like duties with knowledge of cGMP’s preferred
Qualifications
- Knowledge of warehouse and transportation practices and procedures
- Knowledge of general office practices and procedures
- Knowledge and skill in operating various specialized equipment
- Skill in operating office equipment, including computer, calculator, facsimile, copy machine, e-mail, spreadsheet databases, and telephone
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to pay close attention to detail and coordinate various activities simultaneously
- Ability to communicate with coworkers, management team members, and other individuals in a courteous and professional manner
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
