About the Role

DSG is seeking a 3rd shift Warehouse Assistant Manager in our Plymouth, MN location. In this full time, salaried position, work typically ranges between the hours of 9:30pm and 6:30am, Sunday Through Thursday (works into Friday morning), but may vary on occasion according to business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the overall operations of the warehouse, including overseeing the day-to-day activities of warehouse staff and drivers while ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of warehouse processes.
  • Manages a team (up to 8 employees), ensuring that operations meet quality standards, safety regulations, and company objectives.
  • Collaborates with the Warehouse Manager and/or Branch Manager to implement improvements, enhance productivity, and maintain high operational standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse operations, and a strong background in distribution (within the Twin Cities Metro preferred).
  • Experience in a supervisory/leadership role.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team of employees.
  • A strong understanding of supply chain demands as they relate to warehousing.
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs. on a regular basis, and up to 100 lbs. on an occasional basis.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to workplace safety.
