About the role

As a ventilation specialist at Moffitt, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of HVAC systems, maintaining air quality standards, and troubleshooting any issues that arise. You will work closely with other maintenance staff and engineers to ensure the facility's environmental control systems are running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
• Perform preventive maintenance checks on all ventilation equipment to prevent breakdowns.
• Diagnose and repair issues related to ventilation systems, including but not limited to ductwork, fans, and filters.
• Ensure compliance with local and federal regulations regarding air quality and safety.
• Collaborate with other maintenance staff and engineers to address complex ventilation problems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC/R maintenance and repair.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing various types of ventilation systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety protocols.

Skills

• Proficient in HVAC/R diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Experience with HVAC/R system design and installation.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with occasional evening and weekend work as needed.
