Well-established and locally owned company has a need for a Dock High Truck Driver / Warehouse Fulfillment Associate. This position will require the ability to drive a Dock High Truck and Cargo Van for deliveries, along with the performance of daily warehouse duties. Primarily 1st shift with occasional after hours and weekends. Would prefer someone local to and familiar with the greater Charlotte area.

Responsibilities

• Drive 24'-26' (non-CDL) trucks with use of a lift gate, pallet jack, and hand trucks/dollies, as well as cargo vans
• Loading and unloading of trucks at origin and destination by hand, pallet jack, cart, or hand truck
• Sorting of freight in a warehouse setting which would require lifting up to 50lbs
• Follow instructions and routing to meet or exceed client expectations by getting proper documentation filled out and turned in as required
• Use of smart phones/tablets
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Branch Manager

Requirements

• Have or able to obtain a DOT Medical Card (Required)
• Experience driving 24'-26' box trucks with liftgates, cargo vans, and forklifts
• Must be 25 or older (due to insurance reasons)
• Must have professional appearance and demeanor
• Reliable, friendly, and willingness to go the extra mile to satisfy clients
• Can work safely, follow instructions, and communicate as necessary
• Clean Criminal Background check, Drug test, and Motor Vehicle Record (will be performed by third party)
• Must be able to pass a background check with no felonies or DUIs in the past 7 years

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
• Warehouse experience: 1 year (Preferred)
• Previous commercial driving experience (Preferred)
• Familiarity with the greater Charlotte area (Preferred)
• Flexibility in schedule (Preferred)

Pay

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour, paid weekly (based on verifiable experience).

Schedule

• Primarily 1st shift with occasional after hours and weekends
• 10 hour shift, 12 hour shift, 8 hour shift, day shift, morning shift
• Monday to Friday, weekends as needed
