About the role
This position supports warehouse operations by ensuring the safe, timely, and accurate delivery of electrical materials, tools, and equipment to company jobsites. The Warehouse Assistant/Driver works closely with the Warehouse Manager, Project Managers, field personnel, and vendors to ensure materials are available for successful project execution.
Responsibilities
- Safely deliver electrical materials, tools, equipment, and supplies to company jobsites while operating company vehicles.
- Load, unload, secure, and transport materials.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and comply with DOT regulations and company driving policies.
- Maintain delivery records.
- Receive, inspect, unload, and stock materials; organize warehouse inventory.
- Assist with inventory counts and prepare materials for projects.
- Maintain a clean warehouse and operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely.
- Follow OSHA, DOT, and company safety requirements; wear required PPE and report unsafe conditions.
- Communicate with managers, field personnel, and vendors; support field crews while maintaining professionalism.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and use computers for inventory and reporting.
- Maintain company vehicles and equipment.
- Maintain regular attendance; work overtime and travel to jobsites as required.
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, lift up to 50 pounds, and push/pull up to 100 pounds.
Requirements
- High school diploma or 3-5 years of warehouse/delivery experience preferred.
- Knowledge of electrical construction materials preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required; DOT Medical Card required; Class B CDL preferred.
- Forklift certification preferred.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and basic computer skills.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and on a team.
- Exposure to weather and moderate noise.
