Warehouse and Receiving Assistant
Essential Job Functions
- Receive daily food, alcohol, and non-food deliveries from multiple vendors and ensure their accuracy and quality.
- Ensure all deliveries, from all vendors, including mail and freight companies, are delivered to the appropriate outlets and in their designated areas of receiving.
- As needed, receive daily orders from hotel outlets and fulfill and deliver those orders with accuracy and timeliness.
- As needed, perform actions to close outlet orders, using a computer.
- Ensure proper daily product rotation, utilizing the FIFO method.
- Stock Storeroom areas to maintain a minimum par level.
- Organize Storeroom areas.
- Maintain clean and clear receiving areas.
- Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products to adhere to health standards.
- Perform other duties as requested.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High school or equivalent education required.
- Must be able to read, write, add, subtract, multiply, divide.
- Must be comfortable utilizing computer programs such as procurement/inventory software and Microsoft Office.
- Must be able to change activity frequently and cope with interruptions.
- Must be detail oriented and efficient at maintaining detailed, accurate records.
- Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally to hotel leaders and staff regarding Purchasing duties.
- Must be able to perform all duties supervised and unsupervised while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
Physical Demands
- Regularly stand, walk, push, pull, lift, use hands, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear.
- Lift and move up to 75 pounds throughout the day.
- Work effectively in a stressful environment, communicate with others, effectively deal with employees, and accept constructive criticism from supervisors.
About the Role
The position involves supporting hotel outlets with receiving and order fulfillment, working closely with the Purchasing Manager, and performing various administrative tasks.
