Warehouse Administrative Clerk

About the role

Ryder is immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Warehouse Clerk in Hagerstown, Maryland. Warehouse Positions Pay Weekly Hourly Pay: $22.00 per hourShift premium: $1.00 per hour when working 2nd shiftSchedule: Monday - Friday 2:00 pm - 10:00pm.

Responsibilities

• Covers for clerks from other floor areas, the customer and/or other suppliers as needed.
• Uses the location's WMS system to update area or shift metrics as needed.
• Generates daily, weekly or monthly reports, memos, and summaries often of a technical and/or confidential nature.
• Floor work and additional duties as assigned.
• Maintains filing systems and documents.
• Gathers from and provides information to floor employees in his/her area of support.
• Collaborates on activities/meetings/communications for the specific area or shift.
• Performs other duties as assigned depending on area supported or if location specific.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One (1) year or more clerical or warehouse experience preferred.
• One (1) year or more experience operating forklift equipment preferred.
• One (1) year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates customer service skills.
• Able to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors).
• Able to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Flexible to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment.
• Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.
• Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices.

• Must pass all required screenings including employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.
