Responsibilities
- Unload trucks using a scanner or pick list generated by Supervisor/Manager
- Perform all computer functions necessary to complete job
- Unpack, examine and route incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with department leader to rectify damages and shortages - specifically relating to glass
- Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department leader
- Responsible for keeping production lines stocked with glass according to schedule
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations
Requirements
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- None required, but high school education or equivalent preferred
- 1 year of factory-related experience in shipping preferred
- Licensed forklift truck operator preferred
- Manufacturing/industry experience and glass warehouse experience preferred

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Schedule
This is a full-time position, and hours of work/day are determined by production schedules and your reporting manager.
