About the role
As the lead Category Advisor, you will be responsible for delivering Category Sales & Market Share Growth for Walmart. You will leverage category expertise, compelling storytelling skills, and superior analytics to establish yourself as the trusted resource for the Walmart Senior Merchant. This role involves owning the relationship with the Walmart Senior Merchant, strategy development, assortment and shelving recommendations, and delivering excellence on the Walmart Physical & Digital Shelf.
This role is based in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and requires relocation to Northwest Arkansas to work directly with Walmart.
Responsibilities
- Deliver thought leadership and category expertise to the Walmart Merchant Team.
- Partner with Walmart to define OMNI Category Strategies that drive sales and market share growth.
- Provide actionable reporting, insights, and marketplace analysis to influence category growth decisions and strategies.
- Lead the Walmart Modular Process and execute with excellence.
- Determine, develop, and execute breakthrough physical and digital shelf concepts.
- Collaborate with internal category experts to deliver best-in-class shelving and assortment recommendations for both physical and digital shopping environments.
- Collaborate with Shopper Insights managers to provide best-in-class insights.
- Lead, manage, and inspire a team.
- Proactively anticipate the business needs of Walmart merchants and provide insightful, data-driven recommendations to grow the Walmart business.
- Provide competitive updates and landscape assessments to the Walmart Merchant Team.
- Develop future modular recommendations (1-2 years out), sell-in, and execute in-market tests.

- Experience with key Walmart Category Management Tools (e.g., ProSpace, Scintilla, PowerBI, Excel, Nielsen).
Pay
Starting salary range: $172,000.00 - $220,000.00 per year.
