Schedule

  • Occasional / As Needed to Fill Shifts
  • Saturday evenings and Sunday from 9am to 3pm
  • Opportunity to pick up other evening shifts from 3pm to 8pm

Responsibilities

  • Must be upbeat, courteous, and positive
  • Possess great guest relation and communication skills
  • Deliver hospitality and enhance every guest experience
  • Navigate through the menu, describe featured menu items, and demonstrate extensive menu knowledge
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders
  • Send orders to kitchen accurately through the point of sales system
  • Partner with all associates to serve food and beverages in a timely manner
  • Handle cash, including counting and balancing cash register
  • Ensure all payments are processed timely, accurately, and correctly
  • Maintain the confidentiality of guest information
  • Multi-task and work well with others
  • Adhere to Buckner Service Standards
  • Perform all side-work duties assigned
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all dining areas and some kitchen areas
  • Work successfully as part of a team and develop strong working relationships with co-workers

Requirements

  • Proficient ability to speak, read, and write English
  • Ability to read, write, and understand business documents written in English
  • Effectively communicate verbally with residents, families, visitors, and co-workers
  • Ability to make self clearly understood by others
  • Understand and follow basic written and oral step-by-step instructions
  • Ability to move food serving and preparation equipment as needed, using up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force continuously
  • Good depth perception and field of vision (peripheral)
  • Ability to turn, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, handle, stand, and walk over 75% of shift
  • Safely utilize kitchen equipment and recognize differences in sound generated by equipment or machinery which may indicate operation problems or safety concerns
  • Work under close supervision performing routine, standardized tasks
  • Perform tasks with consideration for residents in vicinity and ability to cooperate and work with other employees
  • Learn basic food serving, cleanliness, and sanitation requirements
