WAITER/WAITRESS (PART TIME)

Location: Wesley Bradley Park - 707 39th Avenue Southeast, Puyallup, WA 98372.

Schedule

• Part-time: two weeknights, 3:30 pm – 8:00 pm
• One weekend shift, 3:30 pm – 8:00 pm

Pay

$17.14 – $20.00 per hour.

About the role

Takes food and beverage orders and efficiently delivers items to dining room guests. You’ll work with a talented and supportive team that makes a real impact in the lives of those we serve.

Responsibilities

• Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room; take food and beverages following established steps of service.
• Deliver food promptly and professionally; maintain safe food handling and sanitation standards.
• Follow up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests.
• Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients.
• Advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations; accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences.
• Demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens as needed.
• Communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated.
• Exhibit exceptional communication skills and get along well with others; remain flexible and patient.
• Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
• Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests.
• Maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information shared.
• Promptly address complaints or issues; relay relevant information to supervisor.
• Ensure the dining room is properly set up prior to and after service; keep area clean and meet sanitation standards.
• Operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines.
• Work with staff from other departments during special events and functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Prior customer service experience preferred.
