WAITER/WAITRESS (FULL AND PART TIME)

About the role

Point Seven is a cutting‑edge, coastal‑seafood restaurant in mid‑town Manhattan, located at 200 Park Avenue, New York, NY 10166. The restaurant celebrates global coastal cuisines through refined techniques, exceptional sourcing, and a deep respect for the world’s oceans.

Responsibilities

• Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room; take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service.
• Deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards.
• Follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests.
• Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients; advise guests on appropriate food‑and‑drink combinations and accommodate reasonable requests.
• Provide knowledge of specialized diets and allergens as needed.
• Communicate directly with back‑of‑the‑house staff to ensure accurate order delivery and accommodation of special requests.
• Exhibit exceptional communication skills and teamwork; remain flexible and patient with guests and staff.
• Collect tickets and follow proper cash‑handling procedures.
• Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests; maintain dining‑room setup before and after service and meet sanitation standards.
• Operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced‑tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines.
• Collaborate with other departments during special events and functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum five (5) years of prior serving experience.

Pay

Fixed pay rate: $11.00 per hour.

Schedule

Full‑time and part‑time positions; Monday through Saturday with variable hours. More details provided during interview.
