Responsibilities

  • Set tables, arrange place settings, and decorate tables.
  • Welcome guests, provide menu suggestions, and answer questions about food, wines, and other available items.
  • Take customer orders and maintain sales records.
  • Process payments via cash or credit card.
  • Adhere to sanitary food handling and serving techniques.
  • Calculate checks and make change using basic math skills.

Requirements

  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks.
  • May require a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card to access federally-controlled facilities.
  • Complete a minimum of 4 hours of initial food sanitation and safety training within 30 days of employment, plus 4 hours of annual refresher training.
  • Must meet state/local age requirements if serving alcoholic beverages.
  • Resumes must be two pages or less and clearly demonstrate relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities.

Qualifications

  • Must meet state/local age requirements for serving alcoholic beverages if applicable.
  • Possess basic math skills to compute patron bills and make change.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English.
  • Have work experience performing the duties identified.

Candidates with the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified":

  • Qualifications must be described within the duties of previous work experience listed on the applicant's resume and/or supporting documents.

This job falls under the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system.
