Wait Staff (Part- Time)

Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center is seeking Wait Staff to assist with meal services. The ideal candidate loves working with older people and works well independently and as a team player.

Pay

Starting Pay: $15.00 per hour

Schedule

• Part time (15 - 20 hours per week)
• 4:30pm-8:00pm weekdays/weekends
• Schedule must be flexible and open for weekend shifts

About the Role

Responsible for serving food to residents and guests, dishwashing and cleaning in dining areas.

Responsibilities

• Understands the various therapeutic diets and applies this knowledge when serving.
• Serves food to residents following their diets, food preferences and dislikes.
• Sets up employee trays.
• Sets up, delivers and picks up residents’ room trays.
• Sets dining room tables for meals.
• Vacuums dining room floor after each meal.
• Washes dishes and cleans equipment and areas after each use.
• Clears tables, cleans tables, and chairs after each use.
• Interacts positively with all residents at all times creating an atmosphere which promotes a homelike environment.
• Maintains, cares for and safely uses supplies and equipment effectively and efficiently per Fairhaven policies and procedures.
• Maintains sanitary conditions; follows infection control and waste management procedures as they relate to this position.
• Reports incidents of abuse, neglect or a violation of the resident’s rights immediately.
