Wait Staff (Part Time)

Southern Pizza Company dba Pizza Inn is independently owned and operated by a franchisee. Your application will go directly to the franchisee, and all hiring decisions will be made by the management of that franchise.

Responsibilities

• Start-up, assembly, use, shutdown, disassembly, cleaning, and sanitation of equipment following safety protocols.
• Sample and describe all products, including identifying product abbreviations, plate presentations, descriptions, and key ingredients.
• Perform primary duties including cutting and packing all Dine Inn orders, buffet, and delivery for:
  • Original Thin Crust
  • New York Crust – Staging
  • Sandwiches
  • Pasta
  • Appetizers
  • Pizzerts®
  • Cinnamon Stromboli
  • Other Specialty Items
• Demonstrate a sense of urgency by following the “6 Steps of Service.”
• Understand shelf life of products and explain the importance of minimizing waste and food cost.
• Complete sidework duties and open/close station correctly (open, mid-shift, close).
• Perform additional responsibilities during slow times and mid-lunch/dinner shifts.
• Wash hands regularly and follow “clean as you go” policy.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the dish area.
• Assist with pre-bussing and bussing tables.
• Properly set up and use the 3-compartment sink for washing, rinsing, and sanitizing smallwares, dishes, utensils, and food prep equipment.
• Identify the location of smallwares and put away dishes properly.
• Change out the bag-n-box syrup as needed.
• Follow correct procedures for washing dishes, cups, pans, silverware, and smallware.
• Take out trash periodically and before dark.
• Perform primary, secondary, and any other assigned duties.
• Communicate to management about any issues, repairs, or damaged items.
• Sweep and mop floors correctly, using caution wet floor signs.
• Break down and set up the dish machine properly.
• Fill ice at the Coke machine.
• Make periodic sweeps through the kitchen to pull dirty dishes from prep areas.
• Check parking lot and landscaping for cleanliness.
• Bus tables properly and assist in wiping down glass doors and windows.
• Clean out trash bins and line them; clean dust pan bins and store correctly.
• Break down dirty water buckets and store mops and brooms correctly.
• Clean floor drains at night by placing bleach water in them.
