Wait Staff

Essential Functions

• Take meal orders and serve assisted living residents during evening service
• Greet residents as they sit down: bring waters, introduce yourself, offer drinks and coffee
• Tell residents the daily special
• Take and confirm resident food orders
• Give orders to the cook
• While cook fills orders: dish desserts up and set aside
• Refill drinks and clear away dishes
• Serve food orders and provide drink refills
• Clear dishes and reset tables

Prep and Cleaning

• Complete prep: citrus fruit, cottage cheese, applesauce, condiments, and salad dressings
• Run dishes through the machine as you clear them
• Ensure all dishes and area are cleaned before leaving
• Clean walk-in cooler
• Ensure dishes are stored clean, dry, and in proper place
• Ensure all prep is ready for the next shift

Qualifications

• Happy disposition, quick to respond to requests
• Must be able to maintain high standards of cleanliness and follow rules and regulations of sanitation
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
• Willing to attend all inservice training sessions
• Willing to learn and interested in upgrading the food service department
• Must be able to work weekends to fill in when there is a shift shortage
• Must be able to take initiative to see things that need to be done and do them (cleaning and helping other staff members)

Pay & Schedule

• $14.00/hr
• Full Time/Day Shift (includes weekend hours)
