Southern Pizza Company dba Pizza Inn is independently owned and operated by a franchisee. All hiring decisions are made by the franchise location.

Responsibilities

• Start-up, assembly, use, shutdown, disassembly, cleaning, and sanitation of equipment following safety protocols.
• Sample and describe all products, including identifying product abbreviations, plate presentations, descriptions, and key ingredients.
• Perform primary duties including cutting and packing all Dine Inn orders, buffet, and delivery for:
  • Original Thin Crust
  • New York Crust – Staging
  • Sandwiches
  • Pasta
  • Appetizers
  • Pizzerts®
  • Cinnamon Stromboli
  • Other specialty items
• Demonstrate a sense of urgency by following the “6 Steps of Service.”
• Understand shelf life of products and explain the importance of minimizing waste and food cost.
• Complete sidework duties and open/close station correctly (open, mid-shift, close).
• Perform additional responsibilities during slow times and mid-lunch/dinner shifts.
• Wash hands regularly and follow “clean as you go” policy.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of work area.
• Assist with dishwashing and bussing responsibilities as needed, including:
  • Properly setting 3-compartment sink and washing, rinsing, and sanitizing smallwares, dishes, utensils, and food prep equipment.
  • Identifying and putting away smallwares and dishes correctly.
  • Maintaining organization and cleanliness of the dish area.
  • Pre-bussing and bussing tables.
  • Opening and closing station properly.
  • Changing out bag-n-box syrup.
  • Following correct procedures for washing dishes, cups, pans, silverware, and smallware.
  • Taking out trash periodically and before dark.
  • Performing primary, secondary, and any other assigned duties.
  • Communicating to management about issues, repairs, damaged items, etc.
  • Sweeping and mopping floors correctly, using caution wet floor signs.
  • Breaking down and setting up the dish machine properly.
  • Filling ice at the Coke machine.
  • Making periodic sweeps through the kitchen to pull dirty dishes in prep areas.
  • Checking parking lot and landscaping for cleanliness.
  • Bussing tables properly and assisting with pre-bussing.
  • Wiping down glass doors and windows.
  • Cleaning out trash bins and lining them; cleaning dust pan bins and storing correctly.
  • Breaking down dirty water buckets and storing mops and brooms correctly.
  • Cleaning floor drains at night and placing bleach water in them.
