About the role

The Hawaii State Department of Education seeks to hire qualified teachers for the 9th grade Social Studies position. The department requires a Bachelor's Degree as the minimum qualification for the position, except for designated Career and Technology Education (CTE) positions.

Responsibilities

  • Teach 9th grade Social Studies curriculum

Requirements

  • Completed Bachelor's Degree
  • Valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit upon hire
  • Satisfactory demonstration of active pursuit towards meeting Hawaii licensing requirements within 3 years of employment
  • Enrollment in a Hawaii-based Teacher's Education Program

Pay

New employees can expect their first paycheck within the first 3 pay periods of their start date. Paydays are on the 5th and 20th (or previous business day) of every month.

Schedule

This is a 10-month teaching position.
