About the role

This position is for a Full-time, Non-Exempt position as a Wafer Manufacturing Process Technician working the Day Shift (Sun-Tue & alternating Wed, 7am-7pm).

Responsibilities

  • Process Technicians function as the primary interface between the manufacturing, maintenance, and process and equipment engineering teams to ensure the consistent production of high-quality wafers.
  • Monitor the performance of tooling used in the manufacturing process and help identify processing issues affecting output or product quality.
  • Resolve cycle time issues within their area and resolve any Work-In-Progress (WIP) that is delayed or on hold.
  • Recommend, document, and implement changes to tooling or processing issues as directed by the appropriate engineering group.
  • Train and certify lower-level operators in the manufacturing process.

Qualifications

  • Possess knowledge and familiarity of semiconductor wafer manufacturing processes (thin film deposition, ion mill, reactive ion etch, electroplating, photolithography, metrology, sputter etch, sputter deposition) and logistics.
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control systems, applications, and rules.
  • Familiarity with MESA or similar Shop floor Control Systems.
  • Able to extract, summarize, interpret, and present process data.
  • Able to apply process data to decision-making.
  • Knowledge and familiarity of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing Principles, and DMAIC processes.
  • Proficiency or experience with SQL or similar query languages.
  • Proficiency or experience with VBA, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Project Management applications.
  • Leadership qualities and experience.
  • History of problem-solving; able to drive problems to resolution.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.

Preferred Education Background or Equivalent Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Data Analysis or Statistics, or Chemistry or Physics.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $48,600.00 - $64,800.00 per year.
