Senior Hyper-V Infrastructure Engineer Location: Houston, TX Jersey City, NJ San Francisco, CA or Seattle, WA Fully onsite Job Summary We are seeking a Senior Hyper-V Infrastructure Engineer with 5+ years of enterprise infrastructure engineering experience and deep expertise in Microsoft Hyper-V, Windows Server, PowerShell, and infrastructure automation. The ideal candidate will design and operate large-scale Hyper-V clusters, automate infrastructure lifecycle management, troubleshoot complex virtualization environments, and develop/maintain C#/.NET-based infrastructure services. Required Qualifications 5+ years of hands-on infrastructure engineering experience across virtualization, storage, networking, and Windows Server. Expert-level Microsoft Hyper-V experience at enterprise scale, including Failover Clustering, Live Migration, S2D/Storage Spaces, and Hyper-V networking. Expert PowerShell skills for scripting, troubleshooting, automation, WMI, host configuration, inventory, and cluster operations. Strong Windows Server Administration/Engineering experience. Strong C#/.NET programming experience, preferably .NET 8, for infrastructure services and workload-management platforms. Experience designing and implementing Hyper-V clusters from the ground up across data centers. Strong infrastructure migration, upgrades, patching, rolling deployment, and minimal-downtime experience. Experience with PowerShell DSC, SCCM, Ansible, or equivalent configuration-management technologies. Experience with CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code, configuration-as-code, and deployment automation. Strong troubleshooting across hypervisor, compute, storage, networking, and virtualization layers. Experience with storage performance benchmarking, capacity planning, and optimization. Ability to evaluate hardware BOMs for Hyper-V workload suitability. Strong technical leadership, peer review, architecture documentation, and mentoring skills. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
