W2 contract || SQL DBA L4

About the role

Location: Jersey City, NJ (onsite from day one). Duration: 6+ months. Type: W2 contract. Minimum 15+ years of IT services experience required.

Requirements

• At least 10+ years of SQL DBA experience covering implementation, production support, and project work
• At least 5+ years of exposure as L3/SME support role
• Knowledge and understanding of ITIL processes
• Client-facing role(s) globally for at least 5 years
• Excellent communication skills
• On-call support experience for at least 5 years
• Excellent documentation skills in MS SharePoint 2010/2013
• Must be willing to take responsibility and ownership instead of waiting to be assigned work

Skills

• Senior-level Microsoft SQL Server DBA with experience in large and critical environments
• Performance tuning at both server level and query level
• Knowledge of perfmon, SQL Server dynamic management views, and SQL Server internals
• SQL partitioning and compression
• Hands-on experience with mirroring, replication, and Always On
• Automation experience with strong scripting skills (T-SQL, PowerShell, or Python)
• Excellent knowledge of SSIS packages
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server Clustering
• Experience with Integration Services, Reporting Services, and Analysis Services
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server permission/security policies
• At least 6 months experience with AWS Cloud RDS
• MySQL knowledge/experience
• Linux knowledge
• Experience with Snowflake
• Cloud administration (SQL Server & Cloud)
