W2 contract || Infrastructure Automation Engineer

About the role

The Infrastructure Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automation solutions to streamline infrastructure management processes.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automation scripts using Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, or Chef to automate infrastructure provisioning and management tasks.
• Develop and maintain configuration management tools to ensure consistency across environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement development processes, including version control, testing, and deployment strategies.
• Work closely with DevOps engineers to integrate automation tools into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience in Linux systems engineering, with a focus on RHEL or equivalent.
• Proven experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, or Chef.
• Strong programming skills in at least two of the following languages: Python, Golang, Perl, C++, Ruby.
• Experience with VMware and/or AWS/VMC.
• Familiarity with firmware, lifecycle management, and server hardware operations.
• Experience with Agile practices, SDLC, and common tooling such as GitHub, JIRA, test cases, code reviews, etc.
