W19 - Dock Lead - Day Shift

About the role

RJW Logistics Group is hiring for a Material Handler Lead position. This position reports to a shift supervisor and is responsible for maintaining warehouse areas, ensuring correct staging and loading of shipments, and providing material handling services. The position also involves supervising Material Handlers and ensuring they operate forklifts and walkie-talkies safely.

Responsibilities

• Properly receive, unload, move, and tag incoming parts and equipment.
• Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), QMS (Quality Management Systems), and Lean Warehousing.
• Operate material handling equipment and use an RF scanner.
• Pull and stage parts for production and complete requisitions for parts shortages.
• Collect and properly package inventory and purchased items needing shipment.
• Ensure all orders are complete and accurate.
• Verify orders are complete and accurate.
• Pick each customer order in the most effective manner possible to minimize shipping costs and ensure product safety.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years in a warehouse environment.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Good stable work and attendance record.
• Major experience on sit down forklifts and walkies.
• Experienced in cross docking freight process.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
