Vulnerability Remediation Engineer
This is a W2 contract opportunity for a hybrid role based in Charlotte, NC (3 days onsite).
About the role
Join a team responsible for securing and modernizing a large enterprise environment through vulnerability remediation and application patching at scale. This role is approximately 70% vulnerability remediation and patch management and 30% server administration. The team focuses on testing, deploying, and automating application and OS updates while reducing security risks across critical systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform Windows Server and/or Unix/Linux administration
- Handle application patching, software upgrades, and vulnerability remediation
- Install, upgrade, and remove Microsoft, third-party, and Linux/Unix-based software packages
- Develop scripts using PowerShell, Shell Scripting, Python, or Perl
- Automate patching and administrative tasks
- Deploy patches and upgrades across large enterprise environments
- Manage software components, drivers, RPMs, and related dependencies
- Support the full remediation lifecycle from testing through production deployment
Requirements
- Strong experience with Windows Server Administration and/or Unix/Linux Administration
- Experience with application patching, software upgrades, and vulnerability remediation
- Scripting experience with PowerShell, Shell Scripting, Python, or Perl
- Experience automating patching and administrative tasks
- Familiarity with deploying patches and upgrades across large enterprise environments

Pay
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00/hr. Individual compensation offered within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
Schedule
This is a hybrid position in Charlotte, NC, requiring 3 days onsite per week.
