Vulnerability Remediation Engineer

About the role

This role is part of a global team responsible for the ongoing remediation of security vulnerabilities on Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Microsoft Windows servers. The position involves the deployment of software patches to servers supporting all lines of business. The individual will partner with engineering and technology teams to improve the velocity and success rates of patching.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and monitor patch deployment jobs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve deployment failures.
• Communicate with internal partner technology teams regarding status.
• Support ongoing remediation of security vulnerabilities.
• Partner with teams to improve patching velocity and success rates.

Requirements

• Experience in RHEL and/or Windows Server systems administration.
• Experience or knowledge in patch management.
• Experience with BMC TrueSight Orchestration.
• Experience with Tanium.
• Experience with ServiceNow and ITSM.
• Experience in enterprise-scale environments.
• Communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in programming and infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible or Python.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Bash, Powershell, Python).
• Experience in the financial services industry.
• Experience on technology and infrastructure teams.
• Analytical thinking and production support skills.
• Innovative thinking and stakeholder management abilities.
